* AVSI Foundation is made up of 28 non-governmental non-profit (24 Public Entities founders and 4 participants), 17 of them are located in the South and countries in transition. Its mission is to promote human dignity through the development cooperation activities with particular attention to education, in the wake of the Catholic Social Doctrine. The development project looks at education as a tool for raising men, that bring out the talent, and with them peace. This year's fundraising campaign
curtain AVSI was launched at Christmas to support four important companies in the world (Rice The Bank, for the families of farmers in Burma, nell'Ayeyarwaddy; Secondary School Kireka for kids in Uganda, Kampala; The canteen and Centre for mothers and children in Mexico, Oaxaca; sponsorship for school children in the Holy Land), but after the catastrophic Earthquake Haiti has become urgent support of AVSI volunteers that operate for some time, at two sites in Haiti to support the education of children, and today continue to hope for their survival.
