We were told that the crisis was now behind us, and the recovery was already underway.
They told us that we are going out more than the others.
They told us to be optimistic that we should not worry, that everything is okay.
We were told that there will be no corrective measures.

They took the piss.

We are in the midst of a crisis of epoch-making, and our politicians, all, what do they do?
