From an early age I have always been very clear in my tastes, in terms of food, clothing, movies and buddies to play with. I still remember the hardship that caused me to introduce myself three years in public with any outfit that could unequivocally labeled as a "female" and the despair of my mother and my grandmother's determination to cucirmene that instead of all shapes and colors. I also remember the good feeling that I had to eat the strawberries and enjoy all the way to keeping them long in the mouth to be able to have more seeds as possible before you swallow them. And what about the omelette without eggs? Well, yes, my tastes in food did not foresee the presence of eggs in cooking so I asked my mother a special omelette without eggs made just for me, and the poor child was forced to make these omelets hiding in the kitchen because he had to add an ingredient secret (which were nothing more than the eggs themselves!) and then see me eat them all satisfied in spite of my brother, who instead ate an ordinary omelette. Who among us has never made any of these quirks with food? Children, you know, are precisely labeled as capricious or picky whenever disappoint the expectations of adults who presented with a new dish and can be seen punctually reject the offer. What does depend on this waste? but tasty! I know it's hard to believe but the taste is something very personal, something intimate, for most of the times but absolutely inexplicable reversible! This is demonstrated by the fact that over the years I not only learned to eat and also to appreciate the eggs, but the same has happened with foods such as garlic as a child I hated it seriously.
no accident that the Romans used to say "de gustibus non est disputandum" thereby closing the bud any talk about the tastes of people.
receptors of the tongue or the taste buds, they are able to recognize the four main tastes "sweet, salty, bitter and sour," and, although still excluded from the texts of physiology, the taste "umami", which is what you feel mangiango fluid vegetation and the taste of tomatoes "fat", the recent discovery of a group of Australian researchers.
Here is a map of tastes that are felt on the tongue
You can make a cute experiment, with your kids: take the tip of the index finger a bit 'of table sugar and place the index in the back of your tongue, in the area where you feel the bitter taste and see that you will not feel any taste! moving on the same index on the tip will experience the unique taste rather sweet.
Taste buds are a real organ, are cared for and made to maximize their potential. Not everyone knows that the taste bud is at its highest development and perfection of an individual about 10 years and female. Fortunate then the girls who find themselves in the mouth a real tool but refined in almost all cases not only is not used but it is ruined by improper eating habits.
precooked foods, pre-packaged, salted, fast food, snacks and fats in general form a sort of invisible film that coats the tongue and its papillae and then going to preclude the sensory functions and flattening a definitive taste personal. What is compromised is the palatability of food, it all tastes the same and, therefore, if a food does not contain the right amount of fat, will be automatically rejected by the individual. They still call tantrums? I would say no!
The way to get rid of this awful film is long but not impossible, to draw a slow, deep diet changes aimed at the consumption of simple foods, not refined, full and full of different flavors together.
drink carbonated water is wrong is for the stomach but also for the taste, and the requirement that at times it feels to get a glass of water gassatissima is born from the need to degrease the language of this annoying patina and return to feel, briefly, the flavor of your food in your mouth.
Think about it the next time you brushed violently brushing the tongue with these next-generation, or that we put in our mouths mouthwash bomb anesthetizing effect that makes all the mouthparts for half an hour. Take care of your taste buds, after all if we try taste in life is thanks to them!
